Rowan James Lackey

Rowan James Lackey was born to Joshua Lackey and Abigail Bamford on March 15, 2025, and passed away at Campbell County Hospital in Gillette, Wyo., on May 21, 2025.

Even though Rowan only spent a short time with us, he was immensely loved and brought immeasurable joy and happiness to us all. Rowan was a happy baby who absolutely loved his mommy and daddy. Rowan loved to smile at his loved ones blowing raspberries, mom's voice no matter what she was saying and dads "dancing baby" and "super baby". He always wanted to sit up so he could see his surroundings. He kept everyone very busy as he liked to move by being rocked, bounced, patted, and jumped. He smiled constantly with his whole face and "talked" to us all. Mom, Dad, Oma, and Ariah were all able to get him to giggle. He was conquering his milestones like the champ we all saw him becoming. The week prior to his passing he enjoyed a trip to stay in Thermopolis! He went for his first swim to the Hot Springs. Although Rowan's time here has come to a heartbreaking end he will forever be with all of us and forever loved.

Those waiting to see your perfect smile again are parents, Joshua Lackey and Abigail Bamford of Gillette Wyo.; grandparents, Amber Brill and Jasper McWilliams and Ian and Lisa Williams all of Thermopolis, Wyo., and Christopher and Sara Bamford of Centerville, Utah; paternal aunts and uncles, Justin and Lexi (Gillette), Brianna, Maddie, and Hunter (Thermopolis); maternal aunts and uncles, Aressa and Thomas, Rhea (Portland, Maine) Ashton, Ariah (Thermopolis), Everleigh, Blake (Centerville, Utah)and many other loved ones.

The family is having a special intimate viewing in Gillette, Wyo. Memorial services will be held June 7th at The Set Free Church in Thermopolis, Wyo., at 1 p.m. with catering after.
