Memorial Day notice

Decorations may be placed on graves at Riverside and Monument Hill Cemeteries commencing at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2025 and must be removed before 8 a.m. on June 2, 2025. The district will irrigate if necessary. Secure all decorations so they are not blown away in the wind. The district is not responsible for decorations.

Board member training

Jean Skelton, CPA will be conducting a board member training on Thursday, May 22 from 5-9:30 p.m. at the Hot Springs County Senior Center, 206 Senior Ave. This is training as required by Wyoming Department of Audit. The class is $10 per person. Registration is required by May 20. Call 864-2222 or email lori@bigspringscpa.com to reserve your spot.

Beer ’N Brats

Central Bank and Trust and their partners will be holding their Beer ’N Brats Community Appreciation Event on Thursday, May 29 starting a 5:30 p.m. at the Kiwanis Shelter in Hot Springs State Park. The dinner is free and there will be cornhole games and door prizes. Donations are welcome not required. They will be giving the donations to Memorial Avenue of Flags. For more information, contact 864-5561.

HSC Democrats plan events

On Wednesday, May 6, the Hot Springs County Democrats met in general session. The primary topics of discussion were preparations for the Pride event on June 7 at the Washakie Shelter in the Hot Springs State Park. Preparations are also underway for the July 4 Ice Cream Social and support of the Discovery Days gathering and fundraiser. They voted to donate and support the volunteer fire department’s fireworks display on the July 4th Independence Day celebrations. The HSC  Dems will meet June 4 for their next regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. at the Hot Springs County Annex building.
