Reed Christian Maser

1996-2024

Reed Christian Maser passed away on August 11, 2024, at the age of 28.

Reed was a beautiful and talented young man who will be fondly remembered for his vivacious enthusiasm for life. He enjoyed new experiences, meeting new people and participating in a variety of activities during his brief life; sports, dirt biking, rodeo, artwork and more recently, travel and musical endeavors. He had a heart for lost things, (puppies and people alike) and for his Savior, Jesus Christ. From the time Reed could talk, he "never knew a stranger." He made too many friends to list, both at home and in his travels throughout the U.S. Reed was cherished beyond measure. Though his recent trials were difficult, his energy and his unique flare were sources of joy to all who loved him. His enormous heart and sea blue eyes will never be forgotten.

Reed is survived by his son, Aidryk Palmer (Tyngsboro, Mass.); elder brother, Garrett Maser and sister-in-law, Kali (Nacogdoches, Texas); mother, Giea Kennedy (Thermopolis); father, Ray Maser and step-mother Kim Maser (Gillette); grandparents, John and Sammie Richter (Pinedale), Mike and Darlene Maser (St. George,Utah) and Kathryn Ramsey (Carthage, Texas); aunts and uncles Cammie/Travis Pahl (Gillette), Dela Richter(Austin, Texas), Star/Travis Pollard (Pinedale), Michelle/Chris Anderson (Carthage, Texas), and Chris/Cheryl Maser (Highland Haven, Texas); step brothers and sisters, Mayce Sprigg (Glenrock), Tayler Baldes, Wyatt Robbins and Dakota Sprigg (Gillette) and Grant Byrd (Casper); and many cousins.

Reed was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dave Ramsey.

A bull riding in honor of Reed's memory is scheduled to take place at Hot Springs County Fairgrounds, Thermopolis at 12 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8.  Donations to help support his five year old son will be welcomed at the gate. Reed's friends and family are invited to attend a "Celebration of Life" service at the Community Federated Church Hall, 244 North 6th Street, immediately following that event. A late luncheon will be served.
