Bobcat Briefs

Kinley Taylor was recognized at a Ralph Witters Elementary assembly for being a Bobcat Champion for Children. She is a kindergarten teacher at RWE. She is one of four teachers in HSCSD#1 in the running for district teacher of the year.

Aidan Freeman performed in the 2024 Wyoming All-State Jazz Honor Ensemble.

This is an auditioned group of 40 students meticulously selected as the best jazz musicians in the state of Wyoming. Those students are then placed into Jazz 1 and Jazz 2 ensembles, comparable to varsity and junior varsity. Aidan made it into Jazz 1, and into what most musicians recognize as the top saxophone spot.

The Thermopolis FFA Livestock Judging team placed 2nd at the 2024 Black Hills Stock Show. Rylee Agar was 3rd high individual, Hayden Overfield was 8th, Tymber Eckley was 13th and Taylor Agar was 12th.

The Thermopolis Middle School Mathcounts team competed in Powell and took second place overall.

Madie Ketner, Trevin Shaffer and Jacoby Elder made the top eight and advanced into the countdown round.

Bobcat musicians performed at the Casper College Kinser Jazz Festival recently. Brendan Butler received the award for Outstanding Soloist.
