Local shopping campaign begins October 12

Main Street Thermopolis is starting a “Love Local” shopping program on the second Thursday of each month beginning on October 12.

Love Local is Main Street’s way of helping promote businesses in the county. Main Street will encourage locals and visitors to shop and eat locally during participating business’s regular business hours.

Main Street Thermopolis’ commitment is to advertising the event and participating businesses will display decals and flyers to show support; highlight a participating business once a month.

The Main Street group will also distribute and pick up Love Local bags to each participating business. Patrons will deposit a copy of their receipt in the bag for a chance to win $50 in Chamber Bucks to be used at that business.

Participating businesses are asked to commit to the Love Local campaign for 12 months, help promote the activity and be open regular business hours on the second Thursday of each month, beginning October 12.
