Members only summer trek planned

The Hot Springs County Historical Society Pioneer Association is holding a members only Summer Trek to the Arapaho Ranch on Saturday, July 22, weather permitting. Members only sign up at the County Museum by Friday, July 21.

All are welcome to join if they would like to participate. Membership applications are available at the museum, however, membership will not be available on the day of the trek.

Participants will travel to the Mansion for a reception and a presentation about the Arapaho Ranch Field Station and a slide show about rock art. Following a visit to the 1908 Rothwell draft horse barn, participants will carpool to the original Duncan Homestead to have lunch, and a tour of early fountains, a log playhouse, farm equipment, etc. The drive back will include stops at petroglyphs and the old Odde homestead.

Please bring your own lunch, snacks, and water. Wear sturdy shoes.

The road to the Duncan Ranch requires a high clearance, so participants will need to arrange to carpool at the Mansion.
