Frank Allanson Bien, Jr, 69, died May 1, 2023, at his residence in Thermopolis after a year-long journey with cancer.
Born May 7, 1953, in Superior, Wis., he was one of three children of Frank and Edna (Carlson) Bien, Sr.
A carpenter/flooring installer for most of his life, he was in much demand as a craftsman in California, Nevada and later, Wyoming. Frank created wonderful relationships with special friends through his creative ability and meticulous detail to work which provided floors for many homes, casinos and other commercial buildings.
On January 25, 1975, he married Brenda Sullivan in Las Vegas. To this union was born two children.
A member of the Thermopolis Gun Club, he liked firearms of any type. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, ATV's, motorcycles, woodworking, friendships and family relationships. Frank was a member of the Set Free Ministries/Agape Church.
Survivors include his brother, Curtis of California; sister, Jana Janssen of Wisconsin; wife, Brenda of 48 years; children, Frank Allen (Gina) Bien of Las Vegas, Nev., and Kacey (Kory) Stetina of San Diego, Calif .; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; half-brother, Sonny; and half-sister, Joanne Sullivan.
A Celebration of Frank's Life is planned in June in the Big Horn Mountains near Meadowlark Lake with time and date to be announced.
