Basketball winners!

Fifth graders - The fifth grade boys traveling basketball team won the Silver Bracket at the 33rd Annual Casper Youth Basketball Tournament last weekend. They went 3-0 on Saturday and started Sunday with a tough 36-32 loss to the Saratoga Panthers. The boys defeated Rawlins in a 32-22 win to advance to the championship game, which was a rematch against Saratoga. They were able to claim the championship with a 42-36 victory. Showing off their bracket are, front row, l to r, Logan Stewart, Soren Webber, Bo DaFoe and Lincoln McPhie; back row, Oliver Strenger, Coach Matt McPhie, Cameron Martinez, Hoyt Peil and Jackson Skelton.

Sixth graders - The sixth grade boys traveling basketball team took second place at the tournament. Showing off their hardware are, back row, l to r, Coach Paul Collamer, Mason Tigner, Lane Collamer, Carter Hughes-Becerra, Oliver Bihr and in front is Jarrett Cornella. The small team of five boys battled against teams with as much as twice as many players and lost their first two games. They then came back with a 48-36 win over Pinedale, a 47-29 win over Pine Bluffs, a 36-15 win over the Wranglers, a 32-31 win over Glenrock and a 30-26 win over Greybull. In the championship game the boys lost a tough battle to the T-Birds, 39-25.
