Fire department fund drive drawing Saturday

Members of the Thermopolis Volunteer Fire Department recently sent out letters and tickets through the mail for their annual fund drive.

The fund drive is for the replacement, repair and purchase of new equipment for the department. The department consists of 26 members that volunteer their time responding to hundreds of calls annually.

When you return the donation tickets found in the mailing, you will be entered into a drawing for gift certificates that range in amount from $50 to $300. Fill out and return the ticket stubs with your donation by Friday, Feb. 10. The drawing will take place Feb. 11 and you need not be present to win. You can mail the tickets back in the envelope provided or drop them off in the red mailbox in front of the fire hall next to the flag pole at 400 S. 14 St.

There will not be a public Fireman’s Ball this year due to rising costs combined with declining attendance.
