Thompson writing award winners

Hot Springs County Pioneer Association has announced the winners of the 2022 Thompson Writing Contest. 

This is the eleventh year that the Pioneer Association has administered the writing contest within Hot Springs County schools.  The contest is in memory of long-time County School Superintendent Jessie C. Thompson and offers cash awards to those students who enter a work centered around the history of Hot Springs County and Wyoming. 

The winners this year are, in order of finish:

Ralph Witters Elementary

3rd grade: Ivory Galovich, Hannah Boren, Khora Foran

4th grade: Lincoln McPhie, Jackson Skelton, Tiberius Barna

Thermopolis Middle School

5th grade: Paisley Logan, Jaydyn Boren, Aislyn Dobbins

6th grade: Matea Vargas, Orion Jenks, Isabella Hubele

7th grade: Kynzie Frederick, Annalyn Sharp, Isabelle Ketner

8th grade: Margo Keller, Kamryn Farrell, Jojo Herring
