On the night of May 6, one or more people entered the bentonite mine off of Missouri Flat Road and began tampering with equipment. The suspects ultimately tipped over a portable pumping unit into a pond causing an estimated $30,000 worth of damage. Evidence was collected and sent to the State Crime Lab. The Sheriff's Office is looking for any leads or information that may help find those involved. A reward for information leading to prosecution is available.
