Jack W. Wise

Jack W. Wise, 79, of Coshocton passed away at home on November 21, 2021.

Jack was born in Stafford, Kan. on August 14, 1942, to the late Warren and Helen (Hainey) Wise. He graduated from Hot Springs High School in Thermopolis, Wyo., and served in the United States Army.

On May 30, 1963, he met his future wife Marian (Parrish) Wise and they moved to Laramie, Wyo., where he was employed as a city police officer. They made an abrupt career change and moved to Bartlesville, Okla., where Jack went to work for REDA Pump Company.

On October 24, 1964, Marian gave birth to their first daughter, Lisa JoAnn.  They were transferred back to Thermopolis Wyo.  They spent 15 years working in the Rocky Mountain Division of REDA.

During that time Marian gave birth to their second daughter, Linda Renee' on February 17, 1971. 

Marian bought a fourth interest in an airplane for Jack and paid for his flying lessons.  Jack would always say after that "I need to be careful what I'm wanting, cause she just might buy it for me!"  They both enjoyed the time they flew, and went on many trips in their plane.

Jack and Marian moved to Coshocton on November 2, 2002, after they had come to Ohio for a visit with their younger daughter, and Marian bought a house. 

Jack is survived by his daughters, Lisa J. and her husband Mitch Seim of Owasso, Okla., and Linda R. and her husband Eric Ames of Coshocton, Ohio; four grandsons; one granddaughter; three great granddaughters; siblings Kitty Sue Wise, Marjorie Bauer, Jane Durham, Lynn Milton, Sheila Flowers, Pat Plymale and Bill Plymale; his best feline buddy Max andnumerous nieces and nephews. 

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Marian Wise who passed away April 25, 2017 and a grandson, Joeseph Paul Olson.

Graveside funeral services for Jack will be held on Saturday November 27 in South Lawn Cemetery at 10 a.m. with Pastor Larry Massie officiating and Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard performing military honors.
