Great Until 8 begins Saturday

Main Street Thermopolis is launching “Great until 8!” to promote businesses in Hot Springs County to stay open until 8 p.m. on the second Saturday of the month, beginning Saturday, October 9. The promotion is starting with eleven downtown businesses with plans to invite additional businesses to participate as the program expands. The monthly program will be marketed to both locals and visitors.

“There will be a drawing for a prize of a $100 gift certificate. Shoppers will enter receipts from participating businesses for purchases made from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, October 9. Shoppers should make sure their receipts have the date and time on them to be eligible for the drawing, which will take place at Discover Thermopolis (541 Broadway) at 8:15 p.m. to allow folks time to enter their receipts in the drawing” according to Main Street Thermopolis president, Suzanne Samelson.

The $100 gift certificate will be usable at the business with the winning receipt. Samelson added that “Main Street board members and ‘friends of Main Street’ see this as a partnership between Main Street and the businesses and the plan is to do the event monthly. There will be some fine-tuning of the event after this first one.”

This Saturday’s launch includes the following businesses who have committed to a year-long participation and will be open until 8 p.m. or in the case of some of the food establishments until later than 8 p.m.: Aunt Teak and Uncle Junk, Bangkok Thai Restaurant, Discover Thermopolis, Elle’s Restaurant and Bar, Flying Eagle Gallery, Gooseberry Garden Quilt Shop, Lazy Fox Artisan Goods, OEB Saloon, One Eyed Buffalo Brewing Company, Roundtop General Store, and Three Sisters Gallery. Some business will have special offerings.

A map is available at Discover Thermopolis. Details of the event are subject to change.
