Lois Elaine Shinkle

Lois Elaine Shinkle, 62, lifelong Thermopolis resident, passed away at the Billings Clinic on July 15, 2021.

Lois was born in Thermopolis, Wyo., on May 29, 1959, the only child born to Lloyd William and Helen Nadine (Pisto) Cabre. She graduated from Thermopolis High School in 1977 and attended Casper college for a short time.

She married Marshall Glenn Shinkle on November 3, 1979, in Thermopolis. To this union was born two children, Levi and Shelby. She worked for the Department of Family Services for many years after which she moved to Basin Authority Child Support. She was a member of the Risen Son Southern Baptist Church.

Lois enjoyed many things like quilting, their beagles, and spending time with family and friends. She was a voracious reader, going through a couple of books a week. Most of all she enjoyed taking the camper up on the mountain and camping with friends and family. She was a kind, generous, loving wife, friend, and mother.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn, of Thermopolis; son, Levi, of Thermopolis; daughter, Shelby Shinkle (Kevin Malson) of Casper; and two grandchildren, Parker and McKenna.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
