Next stop is regionals for Bobcat Tracksters

The Bobcat Track and Field Team hosted their home Invite last Friday

Head coach Stephanie Metz said currently Logan Cole is pre qualed in the discuss and shot. At regionals, the top eight for individuals and the top four for relay will to on to state.

"Gavin Shumway performed outstanding in the 400 meter on Saturday with a time of 57.93, he killed it," said head coach Stephanie Metz.

Looking ahead to regionals, Metz said the Bobcats still have some athletes in the running to make it to state, including Jayci Basse for hurdles and 100 meter, the girls 4x100 relay team and Julie Johnson in discuss shot put and pole vault.

"With 14 freshman on the team we are working to build a strong team in the next couple of years," said Metz.

The Bobcats head to Regionals in Torrington on Friday and Saturday and then to State is May 20-22 in Casper.
