Leah LaRay Anderson

Leah LaRay Anderson, 69, passed away October 21, 2020, at the Lovell Care Center where she had resided the past three years due to declining health.

Born August 19, 1951 in Lovell, Wyo., she was the youngest child of Elva and Frank Anderson.

Leah grew up in Thermopolis, Wyo., then later as an adult she moved to Frannie, Wyo., where her and her mother had purchased land. She attended schools in Thermopolis along with working at many businesses. She worked at the Pioneer home and Trailways Café as cook, she was well known for her pies and cinnamon rolls. Leah worked many years alongside her mother caring for others and doing custodial work. She was custodian for Buffalo Bill Museum and Powell Annex she was well known for her strong work ethic. Leah was very generous to her loved ones; she loved a good sale and provided clothing to many children. Leah was a caregiver to many especially her mother throughout her life, several nieces, nephews and extended family. One her greatest joys was when their son Joe was born, and she loved showing him off to their family. Leah dearly loved her mother, Fred, and especially Joe. Fred and Joe were very faithful and dedicated to visiting her often in the care center.

She loved animals especially dogs and horses which she owned several throughout her life. She was fiercely loyal to family and friends. Leah was a very private person and if she allowed you into her world you were very special.

She was member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

She is survived by her lifelong companion, Fred Walker; son, Joe of Powell; brothers, Brad (Lona) Shingle Springs, Calif., Elvin (June) of Casper Wyo.; several nieces, nephews and extended family

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Charlene, Betty Joan, and Franklene; and sister, Cheryl followed in death shortly after Leah.
