Four on ballot for representative seat

Four are on the general ballot for Wyoming’s U.S. Representative seat.

Incumbent Liz Cheney (R) backs ending federal overreach and restoring local control to Wyoming. In addition she believes our veterans deserve both care and benefits. She wants to see tax cuts and job creation while protecting Wyoming values.

She stands up for farmers and ranchers and supports Wyoming’s seniors. Cheney also believes in securing our borders and fighting illegal immigration.

Lynnette Grey Bull (D)says building and adding on to the Affordable Care Act is a priority along with protection of public lands. She says we need to diversify our economy to include businesses and jobs outside the oil and gas industry.

She stands behind Wyoming farmers and ranchers, knowing food security for everyone is critical. In addition, she believes education should be fair across the board and that every Wyomingite has access to education, teachers have the support they need and students have what they need for fulfilling careers.

Richard Brubaker (L) believes we need to stop wasting money on wars and bring our soldiers home. He would like to see a budget-based free healthcare system, as well.

As a taxi driver in Riverton he said he sees a lot of drugs and alcohol everywhere and this “is not working for us. We have more people living off welfare. We need jobs. I look at the mountains every morning and wonder what collateral we have to pay off our massive national debt and all I can think of is our massive public lands.”

Jeff Haggit (C) grew up in Michigan and has been on several councils over the years. He says our rights have been chipped away at, little by little and its horrendous how many we’ve given up in the interest of security.

He believes our debt is outrageous, is against mandated vaccines and believes we should make our own decisions what goes into our bodies.
