On the Record policy

It is the Thermopolis Independent Record’s policy that all people arrested or cited under the “Accidents,” “Sheriff’s office” or “Police department” in the On the Record section are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Correction

The story regarding Workforce Services in Thermopolis should read the date services will be here is Nov. 26, rather than Nov. 19. Times and location remain the same, 10 a.m until noon and 1:30-3:30 p.m. at Hot Springs County Library.

Tuesday, Nov. 5

12:04 p.m. Report from a man on King Road who believes someone is stealing from him.

Wednesday, Nov. 6

10:08 p.m. Kailey Dvorak, 29, was arrested for alleged driving under the influence.

A deputy assisting Wyoming Highway patrol with traffic control following an accident noticed the smell of alcohol on a driver he stopped. Dvorak’s alcohol level was measured at .15.

Friday, Nov. 8

9:55 a.m. A field camera was found in the buffalo pasture. It can be claimed at the law enforcement center.

Police department

Tuesday, Nov. 5

5:15 p.m. Corey James Hill, 26, was arrested for domestic assault, interference with a peace officer and false imprisonment.

5:58 p.m. Isaiah Yazzie, 20, of Arapahoe, was cited for possession of marijuana.

Wednesday, Nov. 6

9:41 a.m. Report of a domestic assault.

Monday, Nov. 11

8:17 a.m. Report of the theft of cash is under investigation.

5:50 p.m. Daniel Eugene Higgs, 63, was arrested for breach of peace. Additional charges are pending.
