VFW Auxiliary to host soup supper Friday

The VFW Auxiliary No. 2281 will be hosting a soup supper, with a variety to choose from, on Friday, Nov. 1 from 5-7 p.m. at the Post Home, 302 Broadway.

Cost for the supper is a donation, and proceeds will go to veterans and military services, scholarships, the Wyoming Veterans Assistance Program, the VFW National Home for Children and youth activities.

The National Home for Children was founded in 1925 in Eaton Rapids, Mich. as a place where families left behind by war could remain together, keeping the family circle intact even when their serviceman didn’t come home.

Services offered include establishing plans for the future, goal-setting, education, recreational and enrichment opportunities for parents and their children, and free housing and daycare.
