Halloween costume contest winners announced

Kids congregated last Thursday night in Bicentennial Park for the Annual Halloween Costume Contest sponsored by Pinnacle Bank.

Winners of the contest in the 0-1 age group were Konnor Simpson (ET), first place; Deakin Weber (Stay Pufft Marshmallow Man), second and Khloe Loos (Dopey) in third.

The two to three-year old age group winners were Zeppelin Bihr (Oscar the Grouch) in first place; Hazel White and Tennison Dumas (Red Riding Hood and the Wolf) in second place and Joey O’Conner (Rainbow) in third.

Four and five-year old winners were Parker Wychgram (Blue Bird) in first, Paola Ocon (Unicorn) in second and Blake Morsette (Woody) took third.

With the six and seven-year olds it was Ella Benefiel (Mary Poppins) in first place, Jenny Deromedi (OompaLoompa) in second and Audrey Heinze (sugar skull) in third.

Matea Vargas (Pennywise) took first place in the eight and nine-year old category, followed by Allen Thurman (Violet Beauregard) in second and Aiden Cleare (SWAT) in third.

Finishing out the categories were the 10-years and up group with Alexice Kellogg (Steampunk girl) in first, Lilly Quiintanilla (Yosemite Sam) in second and Mesa Allen (Darla) in third place.

For next year, the bank is planning on adding a family category as there were a number of really creative family costumes this year.
