On Friday, Aug. 2, Raymond W. DeVries Sr was fined a total $600, $100 for each of five misdemeanor counts of theft under $1,000 and one count of misdemeanor criminal trespassing.
The charges come from an Aug. 30, 2018 incident, where DeVries brought a truck and forklift onto the property of Linsey Brooks with the purpose of taking five large landscaping rocks. One of the rocks cracked while being moved, and a portion was left on the property.
In addition to the fine, DeVries is also sentenced to three days in jail on each count, served concurrently. As for restitution, he is required to return the five rocks to the Brooks residence within 60 days and place them where directed by the Brooks.
