On the Record policy

It is the Thermopolis Independent Record’s policy that all people arrested or cited under the “Accidents,” “Sheriff’s office” or “Police department” in the On the Record section are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Tuesday, July 23

10:11 a.m. Report of property damage in the detention center.

1:08 p.m. Request from Wyoming Highway Patrol, for assistance with a semi in the canyon.

4:17 p.m. While on patrol, a deputy observed a vehicle leave its proper lane of travel. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was warned.

Thursday, July 25

9:44 p.m. REDDI report, though the vehicle was located and the driver was not intoxicated.

Friday, July 26

10:02 a.m. REDDI report transfer from Highway Patrol. The vehicle was located and the driver was not intoxicated.

Sunday, July 28

3:44 p.m. A deputy on patrol observed a vehicle coming at him, with radar clocked speeds of 101-102 mph. The vehicle was stopped and Yongxi Xue was arrested for alleged speeding, and two counts each of alleged child restraint violation and alleged child endangerment.

10:30 p.m. Report of farm equipment parked on the side of the road with no lights on. A subject located at the scene did not know to whom it belonged.

4:45 p.m. A female subject was cited for possession of marijuana.

8:46 p.m. Complaint of kids running through yards.

8:54 p.m. Officer assisted Highway Patrol with a warrant arrest.

10:34 p.m. Report of an intoxicated subject, though it was determined he could still care for himself.

Wednesday, July 24

3:56 p.m. Complaint of juveniles having inappropriate electronic communications.

6:37 p.m. James K. Ward was arrested for alleged domestic battery.

7:46 p.m. Complaint of a dog jumping a fence. The owner was told to keep the animal inside the fence.

Thursday, July 25

9:26 a.m. A male subject was cited for unauthorized use of a vehicle.

6:51 p.m. REDDI report, though the subject was contacted and was not intoxicated.

10:50 p.m. William C. Skeen was arrested for alleged driving under the influence.

Friday, July 26

8:37 a.m. A female subject was cited for breach of peace.

11:06 a.m. Report of a suspicious white van, whose occupants were selling jewelry door to door. They were informed they needed a permit to do so.

1:30 p.m. A male subject was warned for speeding around on four-wheelers.

10:02 p.m. REDDI report, though the subject passed field sobriety maneuvers but was warned for an issue with his lights.

Saturday, July 27

10:27 a.m. Jeromie B. Ballinger was arrested for two counts of alleged possession of a controlled substance.

2:41 p.m. A cell phone was turned in and had not been claimed.

10:19 p.m. Angela P. Cousino was arrested for alleged child endangerment.

Sunday, July 28

10:01 a.m. A woman’s purse was located at a business and was returned to her.

5:35 p.m. Caller was concerned about a vehicle that appeared abandoned in an alley.

Monday, July 29

2:54 a.m. A male subject was cited for possession of marijuana.

9:21 p.m. Michael L. SunRhodes was arrested for alleged public intoxication.
