Alumni hit town this weekend

Hot Springs County High School’s annual All School Reunion kicks off this weekend with over 100 former Bobcats set to hit town on Friday.

While all graduates are invited to attend, this year features classes ending in four and nine.

Registration and picnic ticket pick up will be at the Hot Springs County Museum and Cultural Center on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Blackwater will be the band for Saturday night’s dance at the VFW, which starts at 9 p.m.

A fried chicken picnic is scheduled from 11 a.m. til 1 p.m. on Sunday at the Kiwanis Shelter in Hot Springs State Park.

1959 – Carl Turnbaugh, 864-2612 – Friday night, VFW at 5 p.m., Saturday VFW at 5 p.m. for no-host cocktails and dinner at 6 p.m.

1964 – Cheri Salberg, 921-0278 – Saturday night dinner at Shorty’s

1969 – Gary O’Brien, 921-2797 – Friday night, Hot Springs State Park at 5 p.m., Saturday at Days Inn for dinner at 6 p.m.

Grass Creek Reunion

Anyone who has ever lived in or around Grass Creek is invited to the 2019 Grass Creek Reunion this Saturday, July 20 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Hot Springs County Senior Center.

There is no formal activity planned, but there will be a potluck lunch and social visit. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish, salad or dessert. Flatware and drinks will be provided.

Lucerne meet and greet

The Lucerne Bulldog Meet and Greet will be at the Hot Springs County Museum on Saturday, July 20 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Lucerne students and teachers are invited to come out, visit and reminisce.
