Thermopolis Main Street had a visitor on Tuesday when the National Main Street President, Patrice Frey, stopped in Thermopolis during her summer vacation.

Members of the local Main Street group, including president Suzanne Samelson and Chamber of Commerce Director Meri Ann Rush, took Frey and her family on a tour of downtown.

The group visited the various stores in town while regaling Frey with not only the history of our buildings and businesses, but what projects are being planned by Main Street in the future and pointing out the projects already completed.

"They have done a great job here," Frey commented. "Its clear there's energy and enthusiasm about your downtown. It's exciting to see the mix of businesses and the community support for revitalization.

"I am really proud to call Thermopolis part of the Main Street network. It's always exciting to see what volunteers can do."
