Denyse Sorenson

Denyse J. Sorenson, 68, of Curtis, Neb., passed away December 9, 2018, in North Platte, Neb. 

She was born November 16, 1950, in Victoria, Texas, daughter of Eugene Otto Mutschler Jr. and Shirley (Barks) Mutschler.

Denyse grew up in Victoria, Texas, and lived in Thermopolis, Wyo., before moving to Curtis. She worked for the City of Curtis for many years in the office. She loved cooking and gardening, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. She enjoyed watching college football specifically the Texas Longhorns, and loved cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.

She is survived by her sons, Kris Huckman of Curtis, Neb., Wes Huckman of Themopolis, Wyo.; grandchildren, Brody, Millie, and Kimber, all of Curtis, Neb., and Citori of Biloxi, Miss.; brothers, Joe Mutschler, Gene Mutschler of Leander, Texas, Bill Mutschler of Austin, Texas, Jeff Mutschler of Round Rock, Texas, and Marlin Mutschler of Vancouver, Wash.; along with many extended family and friends. 

Denyse was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Mutschler.

Visitation was held at Blase-Wetzel-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Curtis, Neb.; on December 13.

Funeral Services were held at Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Curtis on December 14. Tim Jones officiated.  Interment followed in the Curtis Cemetery. Memorials may be designated to the family.
