Duard Lee Love

Duard Lee Love passed away December 10, 2018, in Thermopolis at the age of 83.

He was born on May 10, 1935, on the family ranch on Owl Creek in Hot Springs County to Melvin and Pearl (Osborn) Love.

Duard married Valerie Jean 'Jeanie' Estes December 21, 1952, at the Worland Episcopal Church. They raised two sons, Danny and Larry, in Hot Springs County. Duard enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing with his family as well as working on and fixing up vehicles and tractors. He loved being in the mountains.

He attended Middleton School when it was located on what is now the family ranch on Owl Creek. He worked as a cowboy at the Arapaho Ranch during high school. Duard was a heavy equipment operator for the State of Wyoming Highway Maintenance Department for 26 years before going to work for High Plains Power for 18 years. In 1992 he purchased the property where his mother was raised on Owl Creek. Upon retirement from High Plains Power at the age of 64, he went back to farming and raising cattle with his son Larry.

He is survived by his wife Jeanie; son Larry; daughter-in-law Barbara (Danny) Love; grandchildren Donny (Heather) Love and Jennie (Brandon) Blakesley; greatgrandchildren Ethan (Shadow) Love, Monte Love, Colton and Morgan Blakesley; great, great-grandchild Cash Love; special niece Sammie Jean (John) Richter; brother Johnny (Janice) Love and sister LaVaughn Bent.

He was preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Pearl Love; brother Virgil Love; and son Danny Love.

Service information will be announced after the holiday season.
