Three locals join hall of fame

Stanley ‘Henry’ Pennoyer, Charles ‘Charlie’ Shaffer and John Norman Wallingford of Hot Springs County will be among the two women and 45 men from across Wyoming inducted into the Wyoming Cowboy Hall of Fame (WCHF) the weekend of Sept. 23 and 24.

The inductees’ accomplishments will be celebrated in the main arena of Casper Events Center Sunday, Sept. 24 as they join the 132 men and 9 women already honored in WCHF. Beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, the Casper Ramkota Hotel & Conference Center’s garden area will be home to a gathering of inductees.

Tickets are $30 per person regardless of age, and can be purchased online prior to the event or at the Casper Events Center box office, starting at 9 a.m. Sunday September 24. The induction ceremony will begin at 11 am, giving time to write bids on the wide array of silent auction items or phone your banker to see how high you dare bid on your favorite awesome live auction item.
