FFA members compete in speech contests

Remington Ferree presents the FFA Creed during the regional competition Tuesday afternoon. Ferree tied for second in Districts, and placed fifth in Regionals. Also competing in this past week's FFA Speech events were Jeffery VanAntwerp, who places third in Extemporaneous in Districts and fourth in Regionals, and Chase White, who placed third in Prepared at Districts and fifth at Regionals. Hunter Bartholomew and Oakley Bowman also competed at Districts, but just missed moving on to Regionals. Though nobody from Hot Springs County High School placed in the top two Regional spots to move on to state, FFA advisor, Britton Van Heule, said the students did well and just need to put a little more polish on their speeches.
