Registration begins for smart start sports program

Registration is now open for the Hot Springs County Recreation District Smart Start Sports program.

The program is offered for all kids ages 3-5, for basketball, soccer and baseball. It is a noncompetitive one-on-one with the child’s parent, focusing one developing fundamentals of each sport to teach the basics of each sport. Parent participation is required for the program.

Parents can sign up their children for any or all of the sports offered during the first registration period. Registration can be done online at hscrecreation.com or at the Armory building during normal working hours of 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Participant space is limited to 20 children per program and is on a first come, first serve basis.
