Loyal and true

There is a lot to be said for living in a small town in Wyoming.

For instance, we don’t have to worry about football players taking a knee during the National Anthem as not only are their mothers watching, but every man, woman and child in the county is at the field, too, especially during Homecoming.

We are fortunate to have young people in our schools who not only have a love for country, but are dyed-in-the-wool Bobcats. Generations of parents and grandparents still consider themselves Bobcats, no matter where they may have gone to college or where they currently call home.

Fridays find most businesses filled with purple and gold t-shirts.

This is the time when the air is crisp, leaves are turning and cheering fans will fill the stands to cheer on the Bobcat football team and the Lady Bobcat volleyball team for Homecoming.

“Loyal and true, we pledge allegiance to you! This is our motto: We are ONE for all and ALL for old Thermopolis! Here’s to our school and long on high may she rule! Forever more you will find us always loyal and true!”
