Coaches impressed with players' hard work

The Thermopolis Bobcats took to the field for practice this week, with their first scrimmage scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 26 at Cody.

Coach Matt McPhie stated, "Many of our students' have worked very hard in the weight room and with speed and agility since last season. We anticipate a very exciting season in 2017. We have a returning all state player in Cullen Becher, and we'll also be led by seniors Noah Schwalbe, Milton Peden, and Andrew Yarbrough.

"The football team attended and had a great team camp back in June. The coaching staff was impressed by solid play from Jon Harvey, Kolby George, Cameron and Logan Cole, as well as Tyson Tobar and Chris Slagle. Other players to watch for this season include, Spencer Axtell, Chandler Maddock, Blake Williams, Riley Shaffer, Ethan Becher, and Jeffry VanAntwerp, Dustin Harvey, Jason Clause, Oran Coyne and Jarron Mortimore.

"As a coaching staff, we are eager to lead these young men and help them achieve success."
