Phillip Sessions

Longtime Thermopolis resident, Phillip Newel Sessions, 67, passed away at the Billings Clinic Sunday, April 30, 2017.

Born December 4, 1949, he was the son of Newel and Daisy (Phillips) Sessions. Following high school he was a heavy equipment operator for most of his life. He was employed by McGarvin-Moberly Construction, Sessions Mobile Service, H.S. County Road and Bridge and lastly, Canyon Concrete and R&C.

Phil was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His interests included hunting, fishing, camping, visiting with people, both friends and strangers, and spending time with family.

He is survived by his two daughters, Brandi (Isaac) Gard and Melanie Vialpando, both of Riverton; sisters, Mikki Martinez and Carol Sheets, both of Thermopolis and Lanette (Larry) Carter of Powell; and four grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; and daughter, Candy Sovey.

 Graveside services will be held at the Byron, WY cemetery, Saturday, May 6, 10:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow. Mortimore Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online remembrances may be offered at http://www.mortfh.com.
