A night for the arts at TMS

Thermopolis Middle School will feature the creativity of its students on Tuesday, May 2, at the Parent Partner night beginning at 6 p.m. There will be a fine arts extravaganza, with blended lemonades, garden tours, and an art stroll among the activities.

There will also be a book fair in the Makerspace room, and a concert from the fifth, sixth and seventh, and eighth grade bands, as well as the school’s choir and guitar club.

Another highlight is the Night at the Wax Museum, sponsored by the Language Arts teachers. Students will present themselves as different characters, each with a jar. Families who come will each receive three pennies, which they can place in the jars to make the “living wax figures” move for a short time.

Attendees can also put additional money in the jars, and all the money collected will go to the Duncan family to help defray medical costs, as fifth grade student Bethany Duncan recently had neck surgery.
