Genevieve Ferguson

Genevieve Rose Ferguson, 74, died at Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper on February 13, 2017.

Genevieve was born on May 16, 1942, to Dwain and Virginia Ferguson. Genevieve was born at the hospital located on the second story of the historic building in downtown Thermopolis. She attended schools in Thermopolis, graduating Hot Springs County High School in 1960.

Genevieve was employed by the Wyoming Pioneer Home. After a successful 41-year career in food service, she retired as Food Service Director in 2001.

Genevieve enjoyed travel, reading, crafts, sports, and above all, family.

Genevieve is survived by brothers, Stephen Ferguson of Mills and Kenneth (Shanna) Ferguson of Gillette; sisters, Sharon Mason of Mills, Carol (Russ) Dowdy of Thermopolis and Pamela (J) Bunderson of Casper; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great great-nephews.

She is preceded in death by parents, Dwain H. & Virginia M. (Albright) Ferguson.

A celebration of Genevieve’s life will be held this summer.

Memorials in Genevieve’s memory may be sent to Hot Springs County People for People Backpack program in care of J. Carswell.
