Food program freezers need stocked

If one of your New Years resolutions was to pay it forward, the perfect solution is the People for People program.

People for People is an ongoing collaboration between churches and others that feeds folks each Sunday by delivering meals to those who are homebound or financially may not be able to purchase the food they need.

While the program has enough canned goods and non-perishable items, right now their freezer is bare, lacking meat to add to the delivered meals.

Unfortunately, due to regulations, the group cannot accept wild game, however, they can accept donations of beef, pork, chicken and other meats directly from the grocery store. They can also take frozen meat items such as meatballs, chicken nuggets or patties.

If you don’t have the time to do the shopping yourself, monetary donations are welcome as well.

Donations may be sent to People for People in care of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 642 Arapahoe.
