Visiting team appreciative of hospitality

This past Friday night, September 30 we played the Thermopolis Bobcats in football. There were several things that happened that went unnoticed by most in attendance and we wanted everyone to know what occurred.

At the start of the game the sound system on the visitor’s sideline was very loud. Many attempts were made to remedy the problem. When a solution could not be made, your Principal Mr. Shoop, simply cut the wires leading to the speakers.

During the course of the game we had a player that was injured. Your trainer examined the player and assisted him on the sidelines. The exceptional part of this is he checked on him multiple times throughout the evening.

At the conclusion of the game all of the Thermopolis cheering section made a tunnel for their team as they walked off the field. This is pretty common at many athletic events but what is not common is the fact that they remained in place and waited for our team and congratulated them on their efforts.

All of these seem like minor inconsequential events, however, as a visiting school to your facility all of these events were monumental. You should take great pride in the fact that you have people that go out of their way to make visiting teams feel welcome. It is refreshing to see a community that takes such pride in the way visitors are received.

Thanks again for all your efforts and for the reminder of what true hospitality looks like. Your community is an example, that we in Wyoming, should all try to emulate.
