Ag award nominees sought

The sixth annual Harvest Moon Ball is set to be held Saturday, Nov. 12 at the Hot Springs County Fair Building. Each year the ball features dancing, food, and the announcement of the Ag Citizen of the Year, Rising Star award and the Century Ranch.

Nominations for the awards are still open. The Ag Citizen nominee must be presently active in the agricultural industry as a farmer, rancher or agri-business person. The Rising Star nominee must be the same, although with ten or fewer years in the industry. The Century Ranch has to have family ownership for at least 100 years.

Nominations are open through Friday, Sept. 30. Send a brief description of why they should be nominated to FFA Alumni, PO Box 582, Thermopolis. Nominations can also be hand delivered to any FFA Alumni member or Britton Van Heule at the high school.
