Write-in candidates announced

Three write-in candidates received the required three votes in Hot Springs County’s primary election Aug. 16, to obtain a place on November’s general election ballot.

If he accepts the nomination, William “Bill” Malloy will be added as a candidate for Thermopolis Town Council. He would join Dusty Lewis on the ballot for two open council positions.

Jessica Slagle and Irene Hurley were nominated as Kirby Town Council candidates. If they file an application and meet the terms, they will be placed on the November ballot to run for two open Kirby council positions.
