TMS wrestling season wraps up

The Thermopolis Middle School wrestlers wrapped up their season Saturday at the Riverton Middle School Spartan Invite. The team placed 8th out of 18 teams.

First place honors went to Logan Cole-190 and Cole Collins-HWT.

Bringing home second place was Wyatt McDermott-85. Riley Shaffer finished in third place at 140. Finishing in 5th place was Blake Williams-95, Hunter Mounts-115, and Hunter Bartholomew-200.

“It’s the largest tournament we compete in all season, and has some of the best competition we see,” said coach Toby Emery.

“The boys really stepped it up and left it all on the mat. I’m very pleased with their progress this year. Their hard work in the practice room has shown on the mat in competition,” Emery added.
