Safe sitter class Feb. 15

A one day safe sitter course will take place Monday, Feb. 15, at the Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital beginning at 8:30 a.m. and lasting all day.

Baby-sitting is often the first paying job for many teenagers, providing a needed service for parents and giving the teens a few extra dollars to spend.

Safe Sitter is a day long class for teens that have or are interested in baby-sitting.

Teens will learn many aspects of baby-sitting from the business side to the many ways for the teen to be safe and keep the child they are sitting safe.

The course will cover child care essentials, basic first aid and how to be an all-around successful baby sitter.

There will be no school for Hot Springs County School District students on that Monday in recognition of Presidents Day.
