On the Record policy

Sheriff’s department

Wednesday, Jan. 20

6:37 p.m. A deer struck a moving vehicle on Highway 20 North and Wakely Road, causing damage to the front right tire, headlight and deployed the vehicle’s airbags. The vehicle was unable to be driven after the collision.

Thursday, Jan. 21

8:06 a.m. A deputy assisted with traffic control during a cattle crossing at mile marker 20 on Highway 120.

11:45 a.m. A set of keys was found in front of the Hot Springs County Law Enforcement Center. The keys appear to be to a GM make vehicle with a house key on a green rubber key chain with a Montana bank logo.

Saturday, Jan. 23

5:35 p.m. Report of a woman yelling at a small girl south of town. The deputy was unable to locate.

Police department

Tuesday, Jan. 19

1:52 p.m. A business in the 100 block of East Park Street reported a 48 inch TV in one of the rented rooms had a cracked screen. The reporting party was told this would be a civil matter and to contact an attorney.

2:46 p.m. A female reported losing her debit card at a business in the 400 block of South 6th. The card reported had been used four times at the same business, and twice at a sister business in another town. Information was reported to bank officials.

Wednesday, Jan. 20

3:48 p.m. A purple and teal bicycle was found in the 100 block of Highway Drive apparently had been there for over a month.

5:40 p.m. A female driving through a parking lot in the 300 block of South 6th was struck by another vehicle leaving a parking space. Both parties exchanged information. The damaged appeared to be less than a $1,000.

6:07 p.m. Brett Candelaria, 32, from Natrona County was arrested for parole violation.

Thursday, Jan. 21

8:40 a.m. Amanda Newman, 28, from Natrona County was arrested for parole violation.

11:14 a.m. A complaint was made that several vehicles were parked in an open lot in the 400 block of South Park. The vehicles were repossessions from a local business.

Friday, Jan. 22

9:57 a.m. A female reported her 2014 truck had received hit and run damage. She was unsure when and where it happened. Officers documented the damage for future reference.

5:02 p.m. A report of a family dispute in the 100 block of Arapahoe Street. Officers resolved the issue when they arrived on scene.

Saturday, Jan. 23

12:09 a.m. Report of several intoxicated patrons at a motel in the 100 block of East Park. The patrons would not get out of the motel’s hot tub. When the officer arrived they had already started to leave. The officer stayed in the area to make sure they did not come back.

12:07 p.m. A juvenile swimming at a local pool was approached by a male and was given some reading material. The mother later found the material based on White Supremacy and called law enforcement officials. They were unable to locate the male subject.

9:00 p.m. Report of a vehicle blocking a resident in their driveway in the 100 block of Highway 20. The vehicle was moved by the time the officer arrived.

Sunday, Jan. 24

10:36 a.m. Report of several vehicles parked in front of a shop in the 300 block of Amoretti Street. The vehicles had been moved by their owners when the officer arrived on scene.

Monday, Jan. 25

10:46 a.m. An officer responded to a wildlife call in the 100 block of Highway 20 South. The reporting party was concerned about a crow with a broken wing. The officer attempted to catch the crow and in the end opened the gate to let the crow exit the yard.

Circuit court

James Dooley was awarded a judgment for $6,060 in small claims court against Mikki Martinez.

Chance Jacobsen was bound over to District Court on Jan. 22 for child abuse, reckless endangerment and battery.

Finalized divorces

January 25 - Kevin J. Ryan and Jennifer L. Ryan.
