Unemployment holds steady

Hot Springs County saw its unemployment rate hold steady at 3.5 percent in both July and August.

The number of unemployed residents is 87, and the labor force is 2.457, according to information from the Research and Planning section of the state Department of Workforce Services.

The county unemployment rate in August 2014 was 4.1 percent, with 102 unemployed residents from a labor force of 2,515.
