Locals gathered at the high school Monday to watch a game of basketball played from the back of an animal – a game of Donkey Basketball.
The competitors played tough matches, but kept the games civil and fun. Money raised went towards the Close Up program.
Close Up is a program that aims to inform, inspire, and empower young people to exercise the rights, and accept the responsibilities, of citizens in a democracy.
Money raised will help pay for students to do Close Up workshops in Washington D.C.
