Shirley Morgan, president of the Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital auxiliary, describes her service to the auxiliary as a “circle of life”, volunteerism supports the hospital staff, which in turn helps members of this community. Rosalee Dawn Johnson, 19, of Aurora, Colo., was arraigned earlier this month in Fifth Judicial District Court after allegedly steeling $50, 000 in cash from a Thermopolis residence. According to a sworn affidavit, a Thermopolis resident reported that several of her medications and $50,000 in cash was stolen from her residence in June. The Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital has ordered a new fetal heart monitor, a critical piece of equipment to help save the lives of babies in Hot Springs County. Hot Springs County Library director Tracey Kinnaman appealed Friday afternoon to the Hot Springs County commissioners for stop-gap funding to cover the library’s overdrafted bank account.
