    Sign up sheets for the Elf Tree are available at the H.O.P.E Agency at 426 Big Horn Street or the Department of Family Services at 403 Big Horn Street. Parents of children ages newborn to seventeen must have their slips signed and returned to either of the two agencies no later than December 14 to be included on the tree.     Hot Springs County High School senior Jessica Schierkolk has been named to the Wyoming State band, becoming the first HSCHS student in eight years to receive the prestigious honor. Schierkolk started playing trumpet eight years ago and has been playing with teacher Dustin Olsen the entire time.     RoxAnne Arnett, obstetrics lead nurse, surprised the Hot Springs community during a Chamber Meet and Greet with the presentation of not just one, but two fetal heart monitors. The monitors, which enable nurses to monitor the heartbeat of an unborn child, were purchased with matching funds from the Hospital Foundation Board and the greater Hot Springs County community.     The Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital Board approved Nov. 24 the hospital’s 2015 Medicare Cost Report, which details information about the facility and is necessary for critical access facilities like HSCMH.     According to information released by the Wyoming Highway Patrol, a fatal crash north of Riverton on Saturday, Nov. 14 resulted in the death of 25-year-old Michael J.     Tuesday’s meeting of the Thermopolis Town Council was short and right to the point. Mayor Mike Mortimore led the council through the usual formalities.
