At the November Thermopolis Town Council meeting, during citizen participation the council voted and passed the approval of the catering permit for OEB Saloon for the Ducks Unlimited event at the Fairgrounds on December 3. The dust has settled from the 2022 General Election with winners being declared and those who have been newly elected preparing to take over in January, 2023 when official swearing ins will take place. Gary Holbert has been declared the winner of the mayor race in East Thermopolis. He received 40 write in votes, winning over Jeremiah Ramsey who received 26 votes. The River of Life Church is preparing to move into its new building location. The church, led by Pastor Joe Moon, purchased the building in March. Unofficial results have been released for the 2022 Hot Springs County General Election. In Hot Springs County, there were a total of 2,213 votes cast. A new Mayor will be the taking over for the Town of the Thermopolis. Adam Ryan Estenson received 650 votes winning over incumbent Mike Chimenti who received 552 votes.
