On March 3 at approximately 7 p.m. the Thermopolis Volunteer Fire Department (TVFD) was dispatched to Sunnyview Drive for a reported structure fire. Firefighters arrived to find an active fire burning on the outside deck of a single-family dwelling. The fire extended into the interior of the structure. Firefighters attacked and extinguished the fire. Fire crews returned to the scene throughout the following hours to ensure the fire did not re-ignite. There will be a Hunter Education Internet Completion Course held on Sat., April 15 from 8 a.m. - noon at the Thermopolis Middle School Commons. This certification option is the mandatory second half of a two-part hybrid online independent study.
