Black Bear Cafe will be having a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser for Jennifer Arends at 5 p.m. June 1. Co-owner of Black Bear Cafe Deb Tudor said proceeds from the dinner will go towards helping Jennifer Arends with medical expenses. Arends broke her hand on Mother’s Day and has been out of work. Gottsche Wellness and Fitness Center will be hosting a Glow Run at 8:30 p.m. Friday, June 3 at the Hot Springs State Park. Wyo. Quarter Horse Ranch held an auction Saturday at the fairgrounds. Horses were sold to 22 different states, with Colorado purchasing the most. Wyoming followed, and then Idaho. The highest selling horse was a gelding from Lot 37 named NickInTheBudget. It sold for $32,000 to an individual from Colorado. The horse belonged to Woody Bartlett. The Hot City Summer Slam 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament this weekend will take place at the Hot Springs County High School parking lot, with 10 vendors set up at LeRoy Hayes Memorial Stadium.
