Last Thursday, Ralph Witters Elementary first grader Emersyn Strenger and her classmates spent time in the bus parking lot practicing their bike riding. A balance bike is a two-wheeled bike without pedals, often also referred to as a strider. It is designed to help children focus on balancing and steering before introducing the complexity of pedaling. By learning balance first, many children find it easier to transition to a pedal bike without ever needing training wheels....

Last Friday, Hot Springs County High School student council members held a fundraiser Jackalope Jump for Special Olympics of Wyoming. Donations of $777 go to athletes so they can take part in activities. High school principal Catelyn Deromedi took her turn getting dunked and emerging out of the frigid, icy waters. People donated various amounts of money to get their chance to throw balls at a target to dunk participants....
