Submit your questions for local candidates running for office

The Independent Record wants to give citizens of Hot Springs County, Thermopolis, East Thermopolis and Kirby a chance to ask questions of local candidates running for contested offices. Here is your chance, as a voter, to ask the questions and have candidates answers printed in the October 27 General Election Section. Community members submitting the questions will remain anonymous and their names will not be included.

Submit your questions of the candidates for the following elected positions:

House District 28 seat - Incumbent John R. Winter (R) and challenger Kimberly Bartlett (D).

Mayor of Thermopolis - Incumbent Mike Chimenti and challenger Adam Ryan Estenson.

Thermopolis Town Council - Incumbents John Dorman, Sr. and Tony Larson and challengers Rachel Hughes and Bradyn Harvey.

Hot Springs County School District #1 Board of Trustees - Incumbents Jennifer Axtell and Sherman Skelton, challengers Cynthia Garbin, Andrea Miller, Nate Miller, Mellisa V. Mohr, Bethany Rose Webber and Mandy Wilson.

Mayor of East Thermopolis - Incumbent Jack Kuiper and challenger Jeremiah Ramsey.

Kirby Town Council - Incumbents Kimberly Graham and Nathan Rodriguez and challenger Barrie Lynn Bryant, Jr.

Questions can be submitted via email to news@thermopir.com, mailed to IR, PO Box 31, Thermopolis, WY 82443 or drop them off at our office at 431 Broadway.

The deadline for submitting questions is Wednesday, September 28 at 5 p.m. In the case of more than six questions being received for any of the elected positions, the IR staff will select the six questions to ask the candidates.
